I can't stop now, I'm falling in, diving ever deeper in your love sinking fast just like a stone, no time now to gasp a breath above people say be careful what you wish for and its true but I can't seem to get enough of you I was fancy free before I met you every chance I'd go out on the town hitting up the ladies and taking in the shows I told myself no gal was ever going to tie me down drinking with my friends and telling stories, taking every bet and getting high until one day I saw you out there on the hardwood floor, I knew that I was living in a lie I can't stop now, I'm falling in, diving ever deeper in your love I'm sinking fast just like a stone, no time now to gasp a breath above people say be careful what you wish for and its true, but I can't seem to get enough of you the way you walk around just drives me crazy, the way you talk sends shivers up my spine there's no words to describe the way I'm feeling, when you part your lips and give me kisses sweeter than wine tell me everything that you desire, I'll give it to you on a silver plate I'm hoping that this night goes on forever, and counting on the stars to shine too late I can't stop now, I'm falling fast, diving ever deeper in your love sinking fast just like a stone, no time now to gasp a breath above people say be careful what you wish for and its true but I can't seem to get enough of you I can't seem to get enough of you No, I can't seem to get enough of you

well the woman that I loved, she was long and tall she moved her body like a cannonball but when I turned the other way she was flirting with another guy I told that woman to respect her man she told me that was something she don't understand and that made me feel so lowdown that I wanted to die then it happened one day I was out on the town drinking with some buddies who were hanging around when we stopped into the Last Chance Lounge for a couple a brew I saw my sweet baby wearing leather pants out on the dance floor doing the dirty dance with a guy with a blue mohawk and a neck tattoo I'm a leaving this town like a roaming gnome or an old boll weevil looking for a home 'cuz I got nothing left to lose and nothing else to say I took the 2:19 out of San Antone, I might write you baby but I'll never phone and when the sun comes up I'm gonna be a thousand miles away I said, "Hey mister, that's my girl you're with!" as I clubbed him on the head with a Jim Beam fifth but that old boy was tough as he swung and undercut my jaw I was seeing stars but I was still on my feat I told that sonuvabitch that he was cold, dead meat and I preceded to beat his ass like you never saw some guy in the corner thought he'd give it a try the tables and the chairs really started to fly and before too long everybody there wanted to brawl I paused for a moment just to finish my bear I could hear the sirens, they was getting near so I cut on out of there while I still could crawl I'm a leaving this town like a roaming gnome or an old boll weevil looking for a home 'cuz I got nothing left to lose and nothing else to say I took the 2:19 out of San Antone, I might write you baby but I'll never phone and when the sun comes up I'm gonna be a thousand miles away when the sun comes up I'm gonna be a thousand miles away when the sun comes up I'm gonna be a thousand miles away

working like a dog every day lots of hours and never enough pay taking my fair share of lumps when I realized this job's for chumps I knew there had to be a better way a friend told me, "Maybe I can help you out, but it's a little somethin' you don't know much about" "No, you won't need to be runnin' around, driving your car all over town, but it can pay your bills and that's no doubt" working from home, now I don't need a loan the Internet has changed my occupation I don't wear a suit, there's no need to commute its okay I'm alone, I'm just working from home I sat down with my laptop at my house like fireman with a hose ready to douse well, they showed me this and they showed me that how to get things done splickity-splat with no more than a few clicks of a mouse when my working day is done I don't catch a bus I don't take a train or drive, and I don't cuss I just log out and step away it's a perfect way to end the day there ain't no need for hustling or to fuss working from home, now I don't need a loan the Internet has changed my occupation I don't wear a suit, there's no need to commute its okay I'm alone, I'm just working from home its okay I'm alone, I'm just working from home

My heart's not in it any more so I'm walking out the door but I will do the best I can with the cards left in my hand since our love has gotten tired other bodies have been hired but that touch just fades away with the closing of the day I don't know what I'm looking for but I know that I know that it ain't you so you go your way and I'll go mine the door is open, you can do, anything you wanted to lately when I look at you anymore I just feel blue and the love that we once made it has long begun to fade when you laughed right in my face that's when you sealed my disgrace everything that we held dear saw the end soon coming near I don't know what I'm looking for but I know that I know that it ain't you so you go your way and I'll go mine the door is open, you can do, anything you wanted to when you listened to my song you said that everything was wrong and you couldn't find the hook with your cursory look you should have listened to the words not the tweets of little birds if you did then you would find the meaning that you left behind I don't know what I'm looking for but I know that I know that it ain't you so you go your way and I'll go mine the door is open, you can do, anything you wanted to

Come gather 'round people, let me sing for you a tale of a young man's legend, much bigger than a whale he was six feet tall and stronger than an ox he came from Texas in a railroad boxcar Kye LaFoone, he lived in a shack that his dad built he didn't know, any damn more than he had to know I met him one day on the first day of class he made me look twice when the teacher he sassed he talked real slow with a southern man's drawl and our eyes grew wide as he told us of his brawl Kye LaFoone, all he ever wanted was a piece of mind he didn't know, why the world had it in for him Kye LaFoone, why'd you leave us so soon tell us Kye, did you ever ask why Kye LaFoone, do you follow the moon tell us Kye, was it all just a lie? well, I couldn't really tell if he was tellin' me the truth 'cause I'd heard a lotta lies from a lotta other youth 'til I seen one day a five-on-one and he left 'em all flat in the noon day sun Kye LaFoone, his belt was made out of rattle snake he didn't know, any damn more than he had to know it happened one day in the beginning of June all the teachers were screaming, "Where's Kye LaFoone?!" some said he was sick, or his eye was black but I knew he was gone, and he wasn't coming back Kye LaFoone, he went off thumbing on the hard road he didn't know, why the world had it in for him Kye LaFoone, why'd you leave us so soon tell us Kye, did you ever ask why Kye LaFoone, do you follow the moon tell us Kye, was it all just a lie?

I'm loving you, baby, I hope you'll always be mine I need you, baby, just like the stars need to shine I'm missing you, baby, and I'm about to lose my mind come back to me, don't leave me behind I didn't think I'd meet someone as sweet as you could be it seems that you're the flower and I'm the honey bee but dancing at the honky tonks you've met some other guys you left me here but never said goodbye when the show was over and everyone had gone you were always waiting there for me now I look around this lonely juke joint and I've found an empty bar stool where you should be I'm drinking now, baby, another shot, another beer I'm hoping that maybe, your sweetest voice again I'll hear but til that day, baby, I'll make this bottle my best friend with every stranger with that has ear to lend when the show was over and everyone had gone you were always waiting there for me now I look around this lonely juke joint and I've found an empty bar stool where you should be I'm loving you, baby, I hope you'll always be mine I need you, baby, just like the stars need to shine I'm missing you, baby, and I'm about to lose my mind come back to me, don't leave me come back to me, don't leave me come back to me, don't leave me behind

she was going it alone again taking highways out to the west memories pouring out as rolled along all of the bad, and all of the rest she said, "I'm tired of you and your cheating ways" "Now you're believing your own lies" she was packing up all her clothes and things and he watched as she undid all the ties it had been three years since she first moved in lately he'd been gone every night singing at old dives bars and honky tonks and she knew for sure, everything wasn't right these are the moments defining the life they had those were the choices they made at the time going back over it now it would seem so clear that was a love that had lived past its prime that was a love that had lived past its prime she thought back again as she drove away that night that she saw him there with his band she could still hear the Tennessee Waltz he sang she could still feel the touch of his hand yes, it had all started so sweetly then hot summer days then cool autumn nights dancing together so close as the jukebox played the dance hall floors, the bright city lights and then the next year after her lease was through living together, they give it a try saving their pennies and planning for future days but she never noticed, his wandering eye these are the moments defining the life they had those were the choices they made at the time going back over it now it would seem so clear that was a love that had lived past its prime that was a love that had lived past its prime
